On March 29, the world's first low calorific value gas steam combined cycle unit (gas compressor is arranged on the same axis of the gas turbine) contracted by China Energy Engineering Group Shanxi Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd. - Benxi Steel Plate CCPP Power Generation Project completed 72+24 hour trial operation. During the test run, the shaft vibration of gas turbine and steam turbine is lower than 60 μ m, the average load rate is 98%, and all indicators of the unit meet the requirements of power construction specifications. In the process of construction, Shanxi Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd. adhered to the principle of "advanced planning, process control, and one-time optimization", overcame repeated epidemics, delays in overseas equipment transportation and other adverse factors, rationally allocated various resources, made overall arrangements, managed scientifically, and carried out fine construction, so as to achieve the one-time completion of key processes such as waste heat boiler installation, boiler hydrostatic test, gas turbine installation, ignition, and steam turbine grid connection. After the project is completed, it can generate about 1.4 billion kWh of electricity every year, fully recover the gas resources, effectively improve the self generation rate of the plate plant of Benxi Steel, help the plant to save energy and reduce emissions, and achieve cleaner production.
